It would be nice if you didn't have to visit this page, but here we are, so I'll try and make it easy for you! 'Don't panic!' - we will try and help you through every step of the incident and its aftermath if you need that. The documents on this page should give you a thorough briefing on how to report incidents, when to report, and if indeed you need to in the first place. There have been many questions recently about 'significant' incidents - what are they, what do we do about them and how do we record them... please find all the answers to those questions (and more) in the documents.
I've included a 'new' document on this page about RIDDOR reportable incidents. The information in it should help schools decide whether the incident is reportable to the HSE. Maintained schools DO NOT report their incidents to the HSE - I do that for you. This is for your information only and should help you ensure that you report the incident to me as quickly as possible. Academies (etc) should take on that reporting to the HSE responsibility.
