Workforce Development

Workforce Development provide the infrastructure for learning to support the continued development of practice of staff working within Suffolk County Council Adult and Community Services and Children and Young People’s Services, as well as those employed in the Private, Voluntary and Independent and Community Care sectors. This includes:
  • Supporting self-directed and practice-based learning
  • Supporting the recruitment, retention and professional development of social care practitioners
  • Developing, commissioning and delivering training
  • Creating on-line resources to support you in your work

We are based on the fourth floor of Lime Block in Endeavour house, and work across the County to support learning. We are always pleased to hear from you so feel free to communicate with us on (admin.wfd@suffolk.gov.uk) with any questions, suggestions, observations or feedback.

You can read more about the work we do and our priorities for the next two years in the attached WFD Strategy document.
